Sunday is our sacred day of rest, when we moved to Paddington 3 years ago we made a very conscious decision to make our life as sustainable as our business.

Sustainability is so much more than seasonal, locally grown flowers, biodegradable product choices and waste management.

Sustainability includes fostering a lifestyle that includes rest, time for reflection and eating food full of boundless goodness.

So we don’t just spend time flowering outwardly, we live what we preach and also garden our inner wellness with flowering goodness 🌱🍴

Happy Sunday in our edible garden
A & A xx

Those whom have been fortunate enough to meet Anja in-store and discuss flowers and her lifelong passion for living will perhaps know her ‘word games’!

Poppy is just one flower that has been defined using the art of ‘lexigraphy’. This skill uses the letters of a word to create a phase which captures the true essence of the word.

Poppy flowers are often referred to for remembrance occasions, so it rings true that when we offer this respect, we are actually wishing peace and protection, as the word is defined.

Needless to say we are much more than just a flower shop, a place for community to feel at peace, where conversations over flowers can be our contribution to protecting our common ground 🌏

Flowers of the World - Brisbane

Flowers of the World is a florist first and foremost where we sell an emotion and use flowers to express this in material form. Everything in store can be used to put flowers in it, it has flowers on it or it’s made of natural product. Our purpose is to keep people connected with nature. We recognise that flowers are not a luxury, but a necessity. Flowers are Food for the Soul. Flowers of the World began in Australia as a small establishment in 1984. The business has now flourished into a successful full service florist, with the aim to touch the lives of many through the message of sustainability and organic natural living. The business works with local suppliers to source seasonal flowers and produce. We encourage growers to reduce the use of chemicals and along with customer demand, it is hoped that in future, we can access more chemical-free flowers. We at Flowers of the World not only provide all your floral services, but our mission is to raise a greater awareness about the need for a better balance with nature. After all “nature can live without us, can we live without nature”. Visit the Flowers of the world bunch to experience our tranquil space where we practice floristry nature’s way. New premises at 141 Latrobe Terrace Paddington. Watch this space, exciting new workshop and inner-city nursery coming in 2017!
