My name is Alicia and you can find me perched amongst the blooms at 141 Latrobe Terrace as part of the Flowers of the World Bunch. Paddington Peep followers will have encountered my Mum, Anja who has been the flower fairy behind the company since 1983 in Brisbane!
You could say I live and breathe flowers and naturally have a passion for inspiring sustainable lifestyle choices. We relocated the business in 2017 to our quaint cottage on Latrobe as part of our desire to belong to a community. It is our shared vision that strong local economies the world over = a strong global economy and a much healthier environment for people and planet. It is a remarkable time to advocate for the shop local campaign, choosing locally grown seasonal produce and guess what that’s exactly what we do with flowers.
As part of my life philosophy of putting love into everything you do, I hope that those who walk into our store or glimpse at the floral driveway, experience an immediate sense of wellbeing and joy.
I am truly grateful to share a little piece of Paddington with remarkable humans (& dogs), we must be some of the luckiest people alive. #peepsofpaddington #paddington4064

Sharing our joy in bundles of precious blooms.

It is with a bit of nostalgia that we let go of the flowers of the World yellow coffee machine. Alicia served with a loving hand, many coffees in Southbank. We are now well and truly adjusted In Paddington. Steve at Sheets On The Line next to us makes organic coffee. It was time to let go of the old machine. We trust that the machine finds a new home@or that the parts can be reused. Flowers of the world continues to flower Brisbane using only locally grown flowers. We continue our mission to promote sustainable practices. #floristsofinstagram #floristbrisbane #sustainablepractices♻️ #espresso man #flowersoftheworldbrisbane

Flowers of the World - Brisbane

Flowers of the World is a florist first and foremost where we sell an emotion and use flowers to express this in material form. Everything in store can be used to put flowers in it, it has flowers on it or it’s made of natural product. Our purpose is to keep people connected with nature. We recognise that flowers are not a luxury, but a necessity. Flowers are Food for the Soul. Flowers of the World began in Australia as a small establishment in 1984. The business has now flourished into a successful full service florist, with the aim to touch the lives of many through the message of sustainability and organic natural living. The business works with local suppliers to source seasonal flowers and produce. We encourage growers to reduce the use of chemicals and along with customer demand, it is hoped that in future, we can access more chemical-free flowers. We at Flowers of the World not only provide all your floral services, but our mission is to raise a greater awareness about the need for a better balance with nature. After all “nature can live without us, can we live without nature”. Visit the Flowers of the world bunch to experience our tranquil space where we practice floristry nature’s way. New premises at 141 Latrobe Terrace Paddington. Watch this space, exciting new workshop and inner-city nursery coming in 2017!
